Pregnancy Advice & Care

Pregnancy care starts well before conception. Once you are thinking about planning a pregnancy, book an appointment with your GP to discuss health issues and preventative care for both the prospective parents.

If you are having difficulty becoming pregnant, your GP can help you improve your chance of conceiving or provide specialist referrals.

Once you are pregnant, it is important to have an early appointment with your GP to organise any tests and provide health advice and referrals.

Although your GP does not deliver babies, some may be involved with the Peninsula Health Shared Care Program. So that if you are going to have your baby at Frankston Hospital, you can have some of your check-ups with your GP.
